Short Track Race Categories Race Duration

Men's Elite

National Rider and experienced riders

Male + 19 yrs and above

20mins + 3 laps

Men's Open

All other bikers (including weekend warriors)

Male + 14 yrs and above

15mins + 3 laps

Women's Open

Female + 14 yrs and above

15 mins + 3 laps
Schools Challenge B Male + 14 - 16 yrs
+ student as at 1 January 2009		 10 mins + 3 laps
Schools Challenge
A		 Male + 17 - 18 yrs
+ student as at 1 January 2009		 10 mins + 3 laps

 

Notes :

  • Lap Distance : less than 1km
  • All Participants must be the relevant age specified above as at 1 January 2009
  • For those taking part in the Schools Challenge, you must be a student of your school, although your school need not officially send you as a representative.
  • The organiser has discretion to place applicants in the relevant categories according to their experience levels for a more level playing field
  • Any category with less than 5 participants will either not start or will be combined with other categories at the organiser's discretion
